If you are into fashion but you do not know how to become a celebrity stylist you should know that it takes a lot of work and dedication. It is not enough just to pick out some clothes and make them in an outfit you have to have experience in the business. If you want to be a good celebrity stylist you must have some experience as a wardrobe and fashion stylist. Celebrity stylists are the people who dress all the celebrities for the red carpet, for photo shootings or for TV. They are the ones which create images for famous people when they have to appear in public. They keys to becoming a famous celebrity stylist are: make a lot of relationships, know a lot about fashion and have professional demeanor.

  • The first thing you have to do is find a niche on which you want to enfold your activity. It is best to find a style which represents you and most importantly which sets you aside from the other stylist who have the same goal as you, dress celebrities.
  • You need to be informed and to have a lot of knowledge regarding fashion. This does not mean that you have to get a degree in fashion, you just have to flip through all the fashion magazines and to be up to date as far as hair and make up are concerned.
  • To get some experience in the field try to get an internship. Working with professionals as an intern is very important because you see live how things are done.
  • Try to volunteer as much as possible because this is a good way to build up relationships. By meeting new people in the industry you will have high chances to get jobs later on when you have gained enough experience.
  • One thing that is very important is to built yourself a portfolio which you can show to your future clients. It should include photos of your work and a short presentation about the event.
  • Get yourself introduced to all the people which may hire you in the future: managers, pr, agents and tell them how you are going to improve their business through your work.
